CHURCH YEARBOOK
Information for the 2025 church yearbook should be turned into the office as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday, January 19, 2025. All committees, treasurers, and presidents can drop off your information at the church office or send your information to secretary @stphilipslutheranchurch.com.
FROM THE CHURCH OFFICE
All bulletin information for Sunday, December 29th needs to be in the office before 9:30 am on Monday, December 23rd.
The Office will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th and Friday, December 27th in observance of Christmas.
We will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1st in observance of New Year's.
ATTENTION LAY LECTORS
Please check the bulletin board, beside of the office, on Sunday before you are scheduled to read. The readings for, your, Sunday will be in an envelope with your name on it, for you to pick up. If you are not at the service, the readings will be mailed to you the following week. Thank you!
NEW CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES
Contribution envelopes for 2025 are in the narthex. If you are currently NOT receiving envelopes, but wish to do so, contact the office, or put a note in the offering plate. Please verify your number with the number on the printed label and DO NOT use these new envelopes until January 1, 2025. Any old envelopes can be discarded after the last collection in December and before January 1, 2025.
COLLEGE STUDENTS
Our College Students are being remembered during the Christmas season by the Fellowship Circle. A gift for each college student is in the narthex. Names are on each gift, so that the gift may be picked up by the individual or someone from their family.
SIGN MINISTRY
The Evangelism/Social Ministry Committee would like to say "Thank You" to all the folks who participated in our Hwy 210 sign ministry in 2024. We are grateful for your time and creativity. If you'd like to participate in getting these messages out next year, please contact Brent Connelly or anyone with the Evangelism/Social Ministry Committee.
GOLDEN AGERS
If you are turning 75 in 2025 (January-December), and would like to become a Golden Ager, please contact Jane Y. Ringer, no later than Sunday, December 22, 2024.
JOY FELLOWSHIP
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 9th.
CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING
Church Council will be on Sunday, January 12th at 8:00 am.
PICs
PICs meet the 2nd Sunday in each month. Our next meeting will be
January 12th at 10:00 am
PICS will meet, at the church, for Christmas Caroling on Sunday, December 22nd at 4:00 pm.
We will have a Christmas party following. Please contact Jaclyn with any questions.
CHRISTMAS CANTATA
CHRISTMAS CANTATA will be presented during the Worship Service on Sunday, December 22nd.
ALTAR FLOWERS
Please provide any special requests for Altar flowers from March 2025 to February 2026 no later than December 31 to Beverly Hollowell.
In addition, please notify Beverly of any requests to be removed from the Alter Flower list; any families that want to be combined together; or any Golden Agers who would like to remain on the Altar Flower list.
Members can either text the request or provide the special request in writing to Beverly.

BOSCH DISHWASHER FOR SALE
The LMM have the dishwasher from the FLC for sale for $250.00. We purchased for $688, and it has only been used a few times. It is sitting in the kitchen of the FLC. We are going to use that space for gas heater installation to use during extremem cold or power failures to keep pipes from freezing.
POMARIA FOOD BANK
Pomaria Food Bank collection box is in the church breezeway and the narthex. Please consider donating non-perishable items when you are able. Thank you for your continued support.
W.P. Hendrix Scholarship: Bring your cans!
Please bring your cans to donate at the designated bins behind the Family Life Center. The recycled can donations are contributed to the WP Hendrix Memorial Scholarship fund. Your donations are greatly appreciated. The Lutheran Men in Mission thank you!
